Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este is a renowned elegance competition for classic and vintage cars. It has taken place every year since 1929 during the last weekend of April in Villa d'Este on the shores of Lake Como, Italy. Visitors can admire about fifty cars, all built between the 1920s and the 1970s, organized in different categories.

Car makers also take advantage of the event to showcase some of their upcoming models: a working Aston Martin One-77 was officially unveiled to the press during the event.<ref>Template:Citation/core{{#if:|}}</ref>

Winners

2009 edition

The winner of the 2009 (80th anniversary) event was an Alfa Romeo 8C built in 1938, coincidentally the same year its owner, Mr. Jon Shirley (a former president of Microsoft Corporation), was born.<ref>Template:Citation/core{{#if:|}}</ref>
Its estimated worth is more than six million euros or eight million dollars.<ref>Template:Citation/core{{#if:|}}</ref>
