Reliability

  • RECALL ALERT: On August 23 2007, Peugeot have announced a massive recall for the 307 which affects 240,000 units built between 2003 and 2006. A seal on the hardware that the ABS and ESP systems share can allow water infiltration and potentially cause a short circuit in the ABS/Stability control system. This defect can have the potential to cause the car to go up in flames. [1]

Safety

The safety features in the Peugeot 307 include

  • Driver and front passenger airbags
  • Front side airbags
  • Front and rear curtain airbags
  • ABS with EBD
  • Active front head restraints

The Peugeot 307 scored 4 stars in a round of EuroNCAP crash testing and 2 stars for pedestrian impact.
