* Hot on the heels of the recently unveiled '''500 hp 911 Turbo''', Porsche has unveiled an update to the '''GT3 RS''' in time for the 2010 model year. The new RS will drop the 3.6 mill in favor of the new 3.8. Unlike the Turbo's 500 hp output, this one only produces 450. Handling has been further improved with a purpose-built PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) suspension, a wider track both front and rear made possible by larger wheel arch covers, and dynamic engine mounts that are able to adjust their stiffness and damping effect depending on driving conditions. Besides performance, the '''2010 GT3 RS''' gets revised front and rear fascias and new, visually louder graphics as well as a new carbon fiber rear wing mounted on aluminum supports. Options will include lithium-ion battery that saves 22 pounds over the standard unit and a lightweight titanium exhaust system. Prices start at $132,800 for the U.S. [http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/19/breaking-porsche-unveils-sportier-2010-911-gt3-rs/] | |||
