You can get still get great fuel efficiency out of cars with a normal, gasoline engine. These high mileage vehicles are normally smaller cars such as compacts, mid-size vehicles and small SUVs. And they normally have four-cylinder engines, which, for the most part, have less power than larger V-6 and V-8s. Usually, there's a trade-off between power and fuel-effiency.
