The '''[[Pontiac]] Trans Sport''' was Pontiac's first foray into the minivan market, introduced along side the '''Chevrolet Lumina APV''' and '''Oldsmobile Silhouette''' in 1990. All drivetrain choices were identical to the Chevy and Oldsmobile, but Pontiac's entry had decidedly the more sporty flavor of the trio (if you can call a minivan "sporty"), even going so far as offering a "GT" model for 1992 (its only year). Base and SE models were offered in all years. The first generation Trans Sport would last thru 1996, when it would be replaced by a more conventionally redesigned model in 1997.
