STARTECH STARSTER is the name of a new concept car that celebrates its world debut at the Frankfurt International Auto Show IAA 2007, a concept car that manages to bridge the gap between classic old-school and modern designs. STARTECH (www.startech.de) has developed this concept car based on the new Dodge Avenger.

The sedan is painted a pearlescent ivory color with matte-orange contrasts. Details such as the STARTECH STARSTER billboard stripes on the rear sidewalls and the color-contrasted hood design are references to the American muscle cars of the Seventies. Theye accompanied by spectacular body modifications that make the Avenger one of the most striking representatives of its class.

The Nissan Gazelle is a compact two-door coupe produced by Nissan, based on the Nissan S platform. It was produced for the Japanese and Australian markets only. The Gazelle is a sister car to the Nissan Silvia. It was produced so that Nissan's different dealership networks in Japan could all carry the Silvia. There are minor cosmetic differences. Both the S110 and S12 Silvias have a Gazelle counterpart.

The S12 Silvia in Japan was available as a hatch as a basic model only, but the S12 Gazelle in Japan was strictly a hatch, available in regular, RS and RS-X variants, as was the Silvia notchback.

In the Australian market the S12 chassis, notchback and hatchback, was only sold as the Nissan Gazelle, in GL (normal) and SGL (luxury) forms.

When the S13 Silvia was introduced in 1988, the Gazelle nameplate was eliminated. The Nissan 180SX was introduced in its place in Japan. In Australia, there would not be a replacement until the introduction of the Silvia-based Nissan 200SX in 1995.

The Ruf RGT is a sports car made by Ruf Automobile of Germany.

Based on the Porsche 911 GT3, the Ruf RGT was introduced in 2000. Inspired by the 1973 Porsche Carrera RS, the Ruf RGT combines light weight with a powerful engine to provide impressive performance. Acceleration of the original 3.6L version was 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds, with a top speed of 190 mph (306 km/h). When the new generation of 911 GT3 debuted, Ruf bored out the 3.6L engine to 3.8 litres (231.9 cu in), modified the exhaust and catalytic converters, and replaced the ECU and air filter. The new power output was 445 bhp (332 kW), which resulted in decreasing the 0-60 mph time from 4.6 to 4.2 seconds (or even 4.1, according to some sources), and increasing top speed by 7 mph (to 317 km/h).

Both engines are coupled to 6-speed manual transmissions.

Ruf also added a performance suspension system, using Bilstein components, as well as high-performance Brembo disc brakes, measuring 13.8 inches (351 mm) in front and 13 inches (330 mm) in the rear.

The car's appearance is also changed, utilizing a bodykit which includes a polyurethane front air dam and carbon fibre doors, mirrors, engine lid, and spoiler, all of which reduce the car's weight to 2,932 pounds (1,330 kg). The car is fitted with 19 inch Ruf Supperleggera wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires.

Finally, the RGT is customized with interior trim of the customer's choice, including Recaro seats and the deletion of unnecessary parts to save weight.

Base price for the original model was $135,000 USD, while the new 997 model costs $258,000 USD.

The Audi S8 is a sport version of Audi's flagship sedan, the A8. It is a full-size luxury sedan and was introduced in 1998, four years after the A8's introduction to the European market. D2 S8
In 1998, Audi introduced the Audi S8 4.2 quattro (Typ 4D) into the European market, a high-performance version of the Audi A8 in the vein of Mercedes-Benz AMG models, sharing the A8's all aluminium monocoque "Audi Space Frame", and Volkswagen Group D2 platform.

Production of this original S8 ended in 2003, shortly before the introduction of the current D3-platform A8.

The D2 S8 was also featured in the 1998 film Ronin.

D2 powertrain
The S8 featured a re-tuned, 250 kW (340 PS/335 bhp) version of the standard 4,172 cc (254.6 cu in) 90° V8 petrol engine.

A sports-recalibrated version of the five-speed tiptronic automatic transmission (gear ratios - 1st: 3.571, 2nd: 2.200, 3rd: 1.505, 4th: 1.000, 5th: 0.804), featuring "Dynamic Shift Programme" (DSP) was standard, with European-spec. models having a six-speed manual transmission option. Torsen T-2 based quattro permanent four-wheel drive was also standard. Final drive ratio (for automatic transmission) is 3.730.

At the same time of the A8's facelift in 2001, the S8 received another 18 kW (24 PS/24 bhp), taking the output of the engine to 268 kW (364 PS/359 bhp) at 7000 rpm, and torque 430 N·m (317 ft·lbf) at 3400 rpm. This was the first model to be introduced to the North American market.

[edit] D2 suspension, brakes, wheels & tyres
A retuned, 20 mm (0.8 in)-lowered sports suspension included a 30% stiffer spring rate and 40% more compression damping in the shock absorbers. Speed-sensitive "Servotronic" power assisted steering was also standard.

The brakes featured Bosch ABS 5.3 Anti-lock Braking System, with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), and worked radially ventilated front discs of 345 mm (13.58 in) in diameter by 30 mm (1.18 in) thick. The rear vented discs measured 280 mm (11.02 in) by 22 mm (0.87 in). From 2002, an upgraded Bosch ESP 5.7 Electronic Stablilty Programme became standard fitment.

Standard alloy wheels were 8Jx18" cast aluminium alloy "Avus" 6-spoke style, with 245/45ZR18 performance tyres. In 2003, 8Jx18" polished 9-spoke RS wheels became a no-cost option road wheel.

D2 body & interior
Whilst the S8 shared the aluminium monocoque of the A8, subtle detail included solid aluminium alloy door mirror housings, chrome-effect beltline and lower front grille trim, and polished twin exhaust pipes, along with subtle "S8" badging. 14-way power adjustable and heated sports front seats with memory function compliment heated rear seats.
