The Sprint Speciale was originally based on the [[Alfa Romeo Giulietta]], the post-war Alfa that came in coupe(Sprint), sedan(Berlina), and convertible(Spider) variations. The Veloce was a more performance-oriented option that could be had on the Sprint or Spider. The [[Alfa Romeo Giulietta|Berlina Ti]] was the performace variant of the Berlina sedan.

The Giulietta Sprint Speciale was a more upscale version of the normal Sprint and featured a smooth, 2-door gran turismo body by [[Bertone]]. Aluminum was used for the bodies of the first SS's, but was changed over to steel after 1959. In the efforts to make the SS as light as possible, the wheelbase was made four inches shorter than the Sprint's. Since it was intended for competition use, the SS only had room for two people and a limited amount of storage for luggage. However, this allowed the cabin to be much more spacious than the four-seat Sprint.

At the 1960 [[Turin Motor Show]], [[Zagato]] showed their own version of the SS. Called the Giulietta SZ (Speciale Zagato), it was a much more rotund car, resembling early Porsches in shape. It was meant entirely for racing use, and was lighter thn the SS because a great amount of the underframe was removed. It was, understandably, less comfortable, less practical, and thus less popular than the SS with the general public.

[[Bertone]] was responsible for not olny the design of the SS, but also its production. Early SS's made by Bertone had sharper raked hoods and lower grilles, giving them the nickname "Low Nose".

Hello Michael,

Thank you for all you concerns with the Wikicars site. I appreciate your enthusiasm to jump in and fix things and your keen eye for detail, and those are the exact same qualities we look for in our administrators here. Since you are interested in an administrative role on the site, I'll pass your name on to the rest of the moderators.

Being a new wiki, we used some of the content from Wikipedia to get us started, but we'd rather not take all their content verbatim. Rather, we'd like to develop on it and delve three or four levels deeper. In doing so, we did not create info boxes at the time of launch, because it would have been a bit more involved to decide which models get info boxes and which don't. As you are well aware, the automotive industry is such a melting pot of brands and vehicles, that it would have been difficult to classify certain vehicles as just one category. Be that as it may, it is a wiki-based community site, and we are open to all kinds of suggestions and edits.

I, myself, am not all that familiar with the makes that you mentioned were missing form the site. We can build a portal for foreign makes and exotic cars, which I'm guessing a vast majority of these cars are. If you have any other concerns about the site, [[User talk:PNiddy|let me know]].

I know. =( This continues to be a growing concern on our end, too. We're in the process of implementing a automated wiki-filter that will revert those changes and ban the IP address or member for such offensive behavior.

As for the Talk:Main Page/, that is "creative spamming." Some dedicated spammer is going out of their way to implecate new spam on the site. Thanks for the heads up! =)

Yepp! Wasn't very impressed with the [[Nissan Altima|Altima Coupe]]. Looks a lot like a [[Pontiac G6|G6 Coupe]] from the back and the [[Nissan Maxima|Maxima]] from the front. Liked the Tiguan! It's like a "Mini-Me" version of the [[Volkswagen Touareg|Touareg]]. It's hard to pass judgement on [[Mazda]]'s Nagare Concept. I need your opinion on this 0-172, i'm thinking about dividing the maserati coupe and spyder into two separate articles. it just seems like it could be made cleaner that way. what are you thoughts? oh and by the way, im not the only newcomer here. :Yes, seperating the coupe from the spider would clean things up, but one problem is that they are essentially the same car. You could possibly seperate the article into two sections. One section for the coupe, the other for the convertible. With two sections though, you would have to have an infobox for the coupe and one for the convertible.
