== Welcome to Wikicars! ==
Hi! Nice to see you with us again!

Hi there, '''Yankee''', and welcome to '''[[Main Page|Wikicars]]'''! I'm a regular moderator and contributor here, and when I notice on the recent changes log that a new editor has registered, I like to send them a welcome message - that's how I ended up on your talk page.

There are a few useful links that you might want to look at, designed to help newcomers to Wikicars learn the ropes:
:* '''''[[Wikicars:About|About Wikicars]]'''''
:* '''''[[Wikicars FAQ|Wikicars FAQs]]'''''

Here are a few templates on Wikicars that I find particularly helpful when I start a new page:
:* '''''[[Wikicars:Make Template|Make Template]]'''''
:* '''''[[Wikicars:Model Template|Model Template]]'''''
:* '''''[[Wikicars:Model Review Template|Model Review Template]]'''''

Here are a few features of Wikicars that I find particularly helpful:
:* If you leave a message on a talk page, you can sign it with four tildes (~), which will automatically produce your name and a date stamp when you save the page.

:* The "Show preview" button allows you to look at what your post will look like before you save it - that way, you can proofread what you've written and not have to back and correct spelling mistakes, failed links, etc.

:* You can create a watchlist for yourself that will keep a record of any changes made to a page that interests you.

There are plenty of other features and facets of Wikicars, many of which I probably haven't even discovered myself, so have fun looking around and finding them.
Been noticing your work. Really appreciate it, however, the next time please follow these guidelines when filling out an infobox. there is a space provided underneath each category which is where you fill out the information. Like so:
== Infobox ==

Hey Yankee, have you noticed how when you fill up infoboxes there seems to be a white border on the right hand side of the box that makes the infobox appear to be "breaking"? I've figured out what you were doing wrong. It's pretty simple really. Just refrain from putting this symbol, "|", below where you write down the vehicle's marque (between that and "aka"). Also, dont add the symbol in a category that already has one. Like for example, check out "designer" on the errant infobox ive put on display. If you have any more questions please feel free to ask me on [[User talk:Red_marquis|my talk page]].
==Other Codes==
Also, to help you out a bit further with codes. when you dont want infoboxes to intrude on each other's space because the accompanying article is too short (like say in an article where there are several generations of one model) simply type this code down <nowiki>{{-}}</nowiki>. That will leave a the space needed so you wouldnt have to repeatedly press enter to create a wide enough gap in the article.

We'd also like it if you included a nav box underneath each article. a nav box is simply a box dedicated to specific marques and includes a listing of thier models. What that does is make it easier to find other cars made by the same marque w/o typing it in search. For example, to put up the nav box for vehicles made by Dodge simply type <nowiki>{{Dodge}}</nowiki>. This is what will show up:

{{Dodge}}
== Questions and observations for all ==

Greetings all, I was going to put this in the Garage Talk section, but it looks like that's getting pretty full, hence inviting you all to my talk page.

OK...

I have a few questions and observations for you administrators and anyone else who wishes to chime in - please don't be shy.

In the infoboxes, in the "similar" box... I personally think that they should only consist of similar models within the same company. For example, a modern-day Chevy Impala is similar to a Buick LaCrosse, Pontiac Grand Prix - a Dodge Caravan is similar to the Chrysler Town & Country, etc. I've noticed some have put their competitors in the same box... which to me is redundant since most pages already have a "Main Competitors" section. I know all of us being individuals with different writing styles won't all do the same thing, which is understandable, but I think we should try to achieve at least ''some'' consistency and perhaps reach a general consensus. I of course have my personal opinions, but I will follow whatever general consensus ultimately dictates.

I have noticed some of you have added pictures to my pages. Whomever has done so, thank you, I hope that continues. I've looked at a few other sites for pictures, such as conceptcarz and such (that is one annoying site, popups galore...) but still haven't had much luck. I'd rather not lift them from Wikipedia if possible, I'd kinda like us to have our own pictures different from theirs, but I guess if you can't beat 'em...

I'd like permission to scrap the [[Chevrolet Camaro]] and [[Pontiac Firebird]] pages altogether and start from scratch. What's already there isn't sufficient, if no one has any heartburn with it I'd like to start them all over. If I do this, of course if anyone has anything to add, like all the rest of my pages I certainly welcome it. But I noticed another editor (can't remember who) had on his "list of things to do" was to clean up those pages. If you still plan to do so, by all means go ahead... but if you decide you'd rather delegate that detail to someone else, I'd be happy to make my contribution to both.

OK, your turn.  Thoughts?  Comments?

"In the infoboxes, in the "similar" box... I personally think that they should only consist of similar models within the same company. I think you're referring to a "Related" box and, go ahead, clean up those pages at will.
''I'm sorry, I'm not following. I'm referring to the "similar" part in the infobox, 2nd line from the bottom. I don't know what "related" boxes you're referring to... - Yankee''

I'm not quite sure what you mean by "scraping" the Camaro and Firebird pages. You can edit anything, so there's no need to delete the pages if that is what you are thinking. If you need the model template (which those pages don't have now) it's here [[Model_Template]]. I'm working on the Cougar page now, so I'd be glad to help with those after I'm done with it.
I also agree with you about lifting stuff from wikipedia. Unfortunately, for some vehicles (namely older ones) it is hard to come by info and even harder to come by good pics. [http://www.conceptcarz.com Conceptcarz] is a good site, but try oly to use the ones that don't have the watermark in the upper left corner. [http://www.seriouswheels.com Serious Wheels] is also good, but the sizes are a bit large.
''I'm sorry, I'm not following. I'm referring to the "similar" part in the infobox, 2nd line from the bottom. I don't know what "related" boxes you're referring to... - Yankee''

Yes I know. "Similar" refers to competition while "Related" refers to relatives in the same family of cars. wikipedia has that kind of a system in their infoboxes. -Red_marquis

''I took look at Wikipedia's infoboxes, I like ours better. Personally, I think we should have the "similar" box refer to related models since many entries already have a "main competitor" section in the text that already lists the competition. Having our "similar" box have the competition would result in an awful lot of redundancy, unless we scrap the "main competitor" section in the texts. I say let's be different from Wikipedia. Let's be BETTER. Then, WE will be the example to follow, not the other way around. ;-)''

''Also, I can't seem to post a picture without having a brown border on the left side of the pic. For the life of me I can't seem to correct it - I've looked at other examples but still can't figure it out. I'm sure it's something very easy that I'm overlooking. Can anyone help me out on that one? Thanks, Yankee 20 February 1505''
:I'd be willing to help you out with the picture problem, if you can point out an example of what you're talking about. ==Firebird==
Hi Yankee! The Firebird pages look awesome! Thanks! I have a recommendation. I think we should create a top level Pontiac_Firebird page where you currently have the first 2 generations, then subordinate the current page and the 3-4 generations page; we could also create links from the top level page to the Camaro page(s). The reason I suggest this is that the search engines (like Google) are very likely to promote the simple Pontiac_Firebird page as our Firebird page and I think it would be awesome to have a Firebird portal type page as our entry point. This is entirely up to you, of course! What think? If you want help or ideas, just let me know. BTW, it seems that are very best pages are being viewed by thousands of people per month right now. I think Firebird can be one of these. [[User:LuvWikis|LuvWikis]] 13:19, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

:P.S. The Firebird page is already attracting many people per today. Just as a benchmark, some older, top pages are already over 100 per day! I bet Firebird can attract quite a following here. :-) [[User:LuvWikis|LuvWikis]] 13:29, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

''Thanks for the update Luv, nice to know my hard work is being positively recognized (at least I hope it is lol). Anyway, you have my permission to split up the pages however you need to, I have no problem at all with your suggestion. I'm hoping to start the Camaro pages soon, and they'll be in the same vein as the Firebird's. I still working on the Dodge Challenger page, I'll hopefully have that finished up ASAP. Again, whatever or however you need to make my pages more user-friendly, go right ahead. ''Looks good to me - I went ahead and made a couple of revisions myself. About the only change I'd suggest is removing the 3rd gen infobox on the portal page... but I guess until we get some more pictures that we can use it's OK where it is for now.
== Welcome to Wikicars! ==
Hi there, '''0-172''', and welcome to '''[[Main Page|Wikicars]]'''!

== Your Wikicars Concerns Answered ==

Hello Michael,

Thank you for all you concerns with the Wikicars site. I appreciate your enthusiasm to jump in and fix things and your keen eye for detail, and those are the exact same qualities we look for in our administrators here. Since you are interested in an administrative role on the site, I'll pass your name on to the rest of the moderators.

Being a new wiki, we used some of the content from Wikipedia to get us started, but we'd rather not take all their content verbatim. Rather, we'd like to develop on it and delve three or four levels deeper. In doing so, we did not create info boxes at the time of launch, because it would have been a bit more involved to decide which models get info boxes and which don't. As you are well aware, the automotive industry is such a melting pot of brands and vehicles, that it would have been difficult to classify certain vehicles as just one category. Be that as it may, it is a wiki-based community site, and we are open to all kinds of suggestions and edits.

I, myself, am not all that familiar with the makes that you mentioned were missing form the site. We can build a portal for foreign makes and exotic cars, which I'm guessing a vast majority of these cars are. If you have any other concerns about the site, [[User talk:PNiddy|let me know]].

Thanks, Michael! -[[User:PNiddy|Nidhi]] 21:39, 28 November 2006 (UTC)
==  Vandalism/Inappropriate content ==
I know. =( This continues to be a growing concern on our end, too. We're in the process of implementing a automated wiki-filter that will revert those changes and ban the IP address or member for such offensive behavior.

As for the Talk:Main Page/, that is "creative spamming." Some dedicated spammer is going out of their way to implecate new spam on the site. Thanks for the heads up! =)
== Maserati Question ==

I need your opinion on this 0-172, i'm thinking about dividing the maserati coupe and spyder into two separate articles. it just seems like it could be made cleaner that way. what are you thoughts? oh and by the way, im not the only newcomer here. I've managed to coax all the boys at modern and classic automobile discussion forum (not really all that difficult when you're dealing with auto enthusiasts) to help out and contribute to the car/article of their choosing. Anyway, thanks for the welcome. If you would like to check our little community, it's www.atfreeforum.com/mcad.
[[User:Red_marquis|Red_marquis]] 23:42, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

:Yes, seperating the coupe from the spider would clean things up, but one problem is that they are essentially the same car. You could possibly seperate the article into two sections. One section for the coupe, the other for the convertible. With two sections though, you would have to have an infobox for the coupe and one for the convertible. I did notice a few other new contributors, but your massive amount of contributions caught my attention. [[User:0-172|0-172]] 4:39, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
== Question on Discussion Pages ==

I'd like to know if there is a short way to be able to send out messages to every one without necessarily having to visit every contributors user page? I think it could help better organize wikicars. There is a specific topic i'd like to discuss with everyone. it might seem a trifle insignificant but i noticed that there are several forms of infobox automobiles on this site. i was thinking what if we standardized it to streamline the pages and add professionalism. This infobox is what i've seen used most commonly:

{| border="1" style="width: 22em; font-size: 95%; text-align: left;border-color:#000000;float:right;"
|-
! style="background-color: #ccccff;" | Class
|
|-
! style="background-color: #ccccff;" | Body style
|
|-
! style="background-color: #ccccff;" | Lengh
|-
! style="background-color: #ccccff;" | Similar
|
|}

Unfortunately this infobox is chockful of errors like spelling mistakes (see "Length") and missing several parts (width, height, wheelbase, etc.)

I have since created and have been using a more expanded and IMO complete infobox. Check out my [[Maserati A6]] page to copy and paste. I have deliberately left it unfilled to act as a control. If anyone has any suggestions as to things they want to add or modify please notify me so we can maintain a uniform look to wikicars. Or if you don't feel like digging around here are the codes:

:I agree that the larger infobox is more comprehensive, and I think it would be a great idea to use them as a template. I also agree that we can leave any unknown information unfilled, because, as Red marquis mentioned, this is a Wiki after all. When we first began populating the pages in Wikicars, we were initially pulling straight from Wikipedia, which accounts for the inconsistency of the infoboxes we had before. But yes, it would be nice and more professional to make them more consistent across the board. Also, thanks for the comment, 0-172; my page isn't as automotive-centered as yours, but I'm hardly an expert on the subject. - [[User:Rfujitani|Pastrami on Ry]] 17:11, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Jimbo Wales: Mitsubishi Galant moved to WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!

[[Image:Jagvars_Galant.JPG|thumb|right|350px|1999 Mitsubishi Galant ES]]

The '''Mitsubishi Galant''' is a mid-size [[Automobile]] manufactured by [[Mitsubishi]].

===Near future===

It became apparent that the non-American Galants will get a front fascia that resembles that of the [[Mitsubishi Lancer|Lancer]] and [[Mitsubishi Diamante|Diamante]]. The new front fascia was designed by its former design chief Olivier Boulay. It is equipped with a 2.4 L engine producing 162 bhp.

The Middle East and eastern Europe will likely source its Galants from the United States from 2006.

In Australia, starting in the 2006 model year, Mitsubishi are selling a modified version of the North American Galant as the [[Mitsubishi 380|380]], denoting its 3.8 L engine. The 380 is a successor to the [[Mitsubishi Magna|Magna]] and the [[Mitsubishi Verada|Verada]] large cars that also formed the basis for the North American [[Mitsubishi Diamante|Diamante]]. The 380 is a crucial car for Mitsubishi because this is the car that will determine the future of Mitsubishi's Australian manufacturing operations. However, sales have been poor and within 3 months of introducing the model in Australia, Mitsubishi Australia have announced that production will be decreased and 250 staff at its factory are being laid off. This is 15% of the factory staff.

==2003==
The United States has had the sedan-only ninth-generation ''[[Mitsubishi PS platform|PS platform]]'' model since 2003, announced at the New York International Auto Show in April of that year, for the 2004 model year. Other markets did not see it till much later. One of the first markets outside North America to get it was the Republic of China, which launched the '''Galant Grunder''' in December 2004, with a (so far) unique front end. All new Galant engines come with new GDI or [[gasoline direct injection engines]]. Mitsubishi was the first car manufacturer to commercially use the GDI or stratified charge engine.

==1996==
[[Image:P1030389.JPG|thumb|250px|right|1996 Mitsubishi Galant ES (7th-Generation US Model)]]
The eighth-generation 1996 model (1999 in America) continued the 1992 design themes but a [[station wagon]] (known in Japan as the '''Legnum''') was added. The liftback was deleted. This model won the 1996–7 Japanese Car of the Year award. Despite it being superseded in the US from 2003, it remains on sale in numerous countries, including Japan itself as of May 2005. This arguably makes it one of the longest-running passenger cars currently on sale in Japan, with the exception of luxury models such as the [[Toyota Century]].

Mitsubishi opted to further develop the technology in its range-topping [[Mitsubishi Galant VR-4|VR-4]], which was now powered by an enlarged 2.5 litre [[V6|V6]] twin [[Turbo Engine|turbo]]. The car could be had with either a conventional 5-speed [[Manual transmission|manual]] or advanced, self-learning 5-speed [[Tiptronic|tiptronic semi-automatic]] [[Transmission|transmission]] known as "INVECS-II". Also, some models were fitted with the same advanced [[active yaw control]] (AYC) as the Evo, to give it far greater agility than would be expected of such a large vehicle. Finally, as with the rest of the range, the VR4 could now be had either as a Galant sedan or as a Legnum station wagon.

==1992==
[[Image:1992 Mitsubishi Galant 01.jpg|thumb|250px|right|1992 Mitsubishi Galant]]
A new Galant debuted in 1992 (model year 1994 in America), available as a four-door sedan and five-door liftback (Eterna). A Japan-only hardtop model, the '''Emeraude''', was launched in 1992 as well.

The 1992 Galant came equipped with a [[Turbo Engine|turbo]]-charged, intercooled, Mitsubishi 16-valve 2.0 liter engine rated at 195[[HP|hp]]. The [[Four Wheel Drive|four-wheel drive]] transmission was retained.

==1987==

In 1987, the same platform was used for a sixth-generation model which adopted taller, rounded styling. This generation won [[Japanese Car of the Year]] in 1987 and the GS model became ''[[Motor Trend]]'' Import Car of the Year in 1989.

The Sigma designation disappeared but a new hardtop liftback model was added in 1988, called the '''Galant Eterna'''.

This generation was also sold in [[Canada]] as the '''[[Dodge]] 2000GTX''' and '''[[Eagle (automobile)|Eagle]] 2000GTX'''.

A limited edition based on the GTi-16v model was introduced in 1989, modified by German tuning company [[AMG]] (now owned by [[Mercedes-Benz]]),with mildly uprated engine (172PS) and unique bodykit, alloy wheels & leather interior.
[http://www12.plala.or.jp/colt-amg/index.html]

The sixth generation was also the first to see the introduction of the '''[[Mitsubishi Galant VR-4|VR-4]]''' variant, which was the basis for Mitsubishi's participation in the 1988-1990 World Rally Championships with works drivers Ari Vatanen and Kenneth Eriksson. The Galant's [[Mitsubishi 4G6x engine#4G63|4G63]] two litre [[Overhead Camshafts|DOHC]] [[Turbo Engine|turbocharged]] engine and [[Four Wheel Drive|4WD]] transmission was later adopted for the [[Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution]] almost without modification, and is still in production today.

==1984==
<!--[[Image:1985_Mitsubishi_Galant_sedan.jpg|left|thumb|frame|200px|Fifth generation Mitsubishi Galant (1983-1987)]]-->
A long-lived fifth-generation model shifted to front-wheel drive for the 1984 model year as a four-door sedan and hardtop (with different styling). This formed the basis of the widened [[Mitsubishi Magna]] in Australia for 1985, the same year in which Mitsubishi won the Golden Steering Wheel in Germany for the Galant and ''[[Wheels magazine|Wheels]]''’ Car of the Year for the Magna. In 1988, the standard Galant was rereleased in the New Zealand market as the '''V3000''' with a 3.0 L [[V6|V6]] engine (and the hardtop's front sheetmetal) and continued alongside the sixth-generation Galant until 1991.

==1980==
A substantial facelift took place in 1980, though the rear end (from firewall back) of the wagon was retained. Mitsubishi officially considers this a new generation Galant (Sigma). It was Car of the Year in New Zealand in 1981. Production of the wagon model continued in Australia till 1987, when the [[Mitsubishi Magna|Magna]] wagon came on stream.
An anomaly of this Galant was that the sedan (all new body) was on a longer 2530 mm wheelbase than the wagon (previous generation body with new front sheetmetal), which used a slightly shorter 2515 mm wheelbase.

===Lonsdale===
From 1982 to 1983, some of the Australian Sigmas were exported to the United Kingdom with the '''Lonsdale''' badge, circumventing the voluntary 11 percent market restriction adopted by Japanese manufacturers. The car was unsuccessful. For its final year, 1983 to 1984, it carried Mitsubishi Sigma badges in the UK before meeting its demise.

==1976==
The third-generation Galant, dating from 1976, was divided into two models: the '''Galant Sigma''' (for the sedan and wagon) and the '''Galant Lambda''' (the coupe). The former was sold in many markets as the Mitsubishi Galant (without the word 'Sigma') and in Australia as the '''[[Chrysler Sigma]]''' (until 1980, after which it became the [[Mitsubishi Sigma]]). Strangely, in New Zealand it was badged as 'Galant Sigma' but colloquially referred to as the 'Sigma', a name it formally adopted after 1980.

===Sapporo===
The coupé was sold in Europe as the [[Mitsubishi Sapporo]], in Australia as the Chrysler (and later Mitsubishi) Sigma '''Scorpion''', and in the [[United States]] as the '''[[Plymouth Sapporo]]''' and '''[[Dodge Challenger]]''' from 1978 to 1983. In the Japanese market, the car was known as the Mitsubishi Lambda. Initially available with Mitsubishi's Astron engine, the larger 2.6 L 4-cylinder engine was later optional. Four-wheel [[4-wheel disc brakes|disc brakes]] were standard.

==1973==
[[Image:11235b.jpg|thumb|250px|right|New Zealand-spec 1973 Mitsubishi Colt 1.6L]]
The second generation Galant sedan and GTO were more widely exported and was sold in Australia as the [[Chrysler Valiant]] Galant and in Europe as the Colt Galant. This model was more curvaceous, influenced by coke-bottle styling, and featured a larger, 1850 cc engine, as well as a new 2.0 L 'Astron' engine developing 125 PS. It was also offered as the Dodge Colt in the US.

==1969==
The Mitsubishi Galant was launched in 1969 as a two and four-door sedan, sold in some markets as the [[Colt (car)|Colt]] Galant. It featured a choice of 1.3 or 1.5 L four-cylinder engines. It was sold in the United States as the [[Dodge Colt]] from 1971.

From 1970, a fastback coupé model, the Hardtop, was added. It was the first Japanese production passenger car without side pillars. The same year saw the release of the most powerful first-generation model, the GTO, with a 1.6 L engine rated at 125 PS.

==United States production==

The seventh-generation Galant's production was shifted to Normal, Illinois. The very first seventh-generation US-made 1994 Galant rolled off the assembly line on May 24, 1993. The eighth generation went into production there on July 7, 1998. The 2004 Galant began production on October 15, 2003.

Due to excess capacity at the plant, Mitsubishi will export Galants in 2006 to markets in the Middle East and eastern Europe. There had been a layoff at the plant in late 2004, and Mitsubishi hopes to utilize its capacity and rehire its former employees as soon as possible.

The '''Fortwo''' is the original [[Smart]] model that was launched in 1998 throughout Europe as the City Coupe. The name Fortwo was introduced when Smart began to produce new models.

On June 28, 2006, [[DaimlerChrysler]] confirmed that retailer UnitedAuto Group "will be responsible for awarding potential dealerships and developing and maintaining a Smart vehicle dealership network throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico."

It will make its US debut in 2007 as a 2008 model.

===Recent Changes===
A major redesign is in the works for the 2007 model year. While not yet released publically, it is known that the car's length is being increased by some margin to meet US safety standards.

===Styles and Major Options===
Instead of trims or styles, fortwo has three 'design lines': Pure, Pulse, and Passion.

The Pure is the basic model, providing a basic configuration and minimal extras. It is the least expensive of the three.

The Pulse is a sportier model, including leather steering wheels, the unique 'alien eyes' tachometer and clock, alloy wheels, and sportier interior.

The Passion is considered the luxury line, with air conditioning, electric mirrors, and other speciality options.

A cabriolet verison is available.

===Pricing===
Since the vehicle is not yet available for purchase from dealers in the United States, final pricing remains to be seen.
*Roughly:
*Pure (base): $12,000
*Passion: $15,000
*Convertible: $17,000

===Gas Mileage===
Until the vehicle is formally available in the US, official mileage data is not yet available. However, by European measures, the Smart is considered particularly fuel efficient, averaging 50 mpg for the gasoline model and 69 mpg for the Diesel.

===Reliability===
The fortwo's Mercedes Benz heritage comes through here, earning the car high marks for reliablility in Europe, Japan, and Canada.

===Safety===
[[Image:tridon_safety_cell.jpg|frame|The fortwo's tridion safety shell makes all the difference.]]Probably the biggest concern about the smart car people express is the issue of safety. In the US, 'bigger is better' is the normal rule-of-thumb when it comes to deciding which vehicle is safest. With the fortwo, that rule fast becomes becomes roadkill.

The secret to this vehicles safety rating comes from its 'Tridion Safety Cell.' This cell is designed to retain its shape in a collision, transfering much of the impact force back to the other vehicle. Also, given its size, the likelihood of striking one of the tires in a collision is high, which means the suspension helps absorb the force of the impact.

To help avoid the crash, the all fortwos come with [[Stability_control|Electronic Stability Control]] and [[Anti-Lock_Brakes_ABS|Anti-lock brakes]] as standard features. Dual [[airbag|airbags]], self-tensioning seatbelts, knee impact cushions and a collapsible steering column also come standard. Side-impact airbags are available as an option.

US Safety ratings have not yet been set, but in European ratings[http://www.euroncap.com/content/safety_ratings/ratings.php?id1=1], the fortwo gets a very respectible 3-stars.
===Colors===
Colors are one aspect of the Smart that is unique. While the vehicle has one primary color, the Tidion shell comes through at points, and has its own base color. In most instances, the shell is black, but in the Passion trim, the shell is also available in silver.

The rest of the vehicle is made up of interchangeable dent-resistant molded plastic panels. Much like the [[Saturn|Saturn]] lineup, these panels are solid colored, which means if they are scratched, the color remains unchanged. The best part is that you can purchase additional panels from the dealer, allowing you to change the color or your car at will.

In addition to the standard colors, smart is known for releasing limited edition colored vehicles, frequently themed to a partner. Some examples are Barbie Pink and iPod white. These limited edition vehicles often have a custom set of interior options, not available any other way.

===Main Competitors===
In the US, it is tough to define competitors, as there really is nothing specifically that matches up with the smart fortwo. The following are the closest vehicles in size and fuel efficiency.

* [[Toyota_Yaris|Toyota Yaris]]
* [[Honda_Fit|Honda Fit]]
* [[MINI_Cooper|MINI Cooper]]
