The Austin Maestro was available as a 1.3 A series and 1.6 R series ranging from L models to the higher end Vanden Plas models with Faux chrome grill and Wood (read fake wood) inserts in the interior.
			The MG maestro was initially available with a 1.6 R series engine with weber carbs and was updated with 2 litre O series injected engine in 1985 after 2 years of MG production. There was a run of 506 MG Maestro turbo's from 1989-1990 with a turbocharged O series engine running SU carbs, these were a limited to red, black, British racing green and white with a Tickford styled bodykit.
