Formerly known as the Plymouth Champ, for some unknown reason the Champ name was dropped and it became known as simply the Plymouth Colt for 1983. It was identical to its corporate twin the Dodge Colt.

See the Dodge Colt entry for further comments about the Plymouth Colt.
