Recent Changes
- Early in February 2008, Honda unveiled the next-generation 2009 MY European Honda Accord hours after it leaked a teaser image of the Accord's US-bound sister, the Acura TSX. The new Euro Accord will be bristling with new technology as it prepares for its official debut at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show beginning with a host of more efficient and more powerful engines. The petrol range will be a choice between a 2.0-litre producing 154bhp @ 6300 rpm and a 2.4-litre i-VTEC producing 197bhp @ 7000 rpm and peak torque of 233 Nm at 4500 rpm. While the diesel option will boast employment of the second generation i-DTEC mated to a multi-stage fuel injection system and an emission-reducing particulate filter, good for numbers of 148bhp @ 4000 rpm and 350Nm of torque @ 2000 rpm. all engines come fixed with a 6-speed manual transmission with a 5-speed automatic as an option.
